Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a14-member squad for the three-match ODI series in Sri Lanka on Tuesday before taking any fitness test of the players.
Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, based on the physio report, they announced team but the fitness test of the players will be held on Wednesday, a thing that sounds surprising given the normal practice.
As per the standard practice, the fitness test was held before the team announcement even though Nannu said all players looked good.

Player like captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Mahmudullah Riad, Mushfiqur Rahim played the World Cup through their injury. Even Mahmudullah missed a game against India.
Mushfiqur Rahim was set to miss two matches in World Cup but he somehow managed to play.
Mashrafe is believed to have severe hamstring problem that was key in his worst performance in the World Cup.
Mahmudullah have shoulder problem even before the World Cup while Mushfiqur suffered a nasty blow on elbow.
But with Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das not in the squad, due to their personal affairs, the selectors looked to take a gamble as they badly want to win a series in Sri Lanka.
“We will check everyone's fitness along with Mahmudullah tomorrow. After that we will understand everything. Overall, everything is in good stead for now,” said Nannu.
Fitness has been an issue for Bangladeshi players for a long time now. Cricket pundits around the world had already raised a question of some Bangladeshi players’ fitness.
