Bangladesh ‘A’ secured a seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka ‘A’ in the first Women’s T20 of the five-match series at P. Sara Oval Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
Bangladesh chased down the target in 18.5 overs, after restricting the host to a below-par 112 runs.
After been put into bat first, the Sri Lanka A scored 112 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs with the opening batter Kaushini Nuthyangana top scoring with a knock of 43 runs off 35 balls with 4 fours and a six.

Fahima Khatun was the pick of the bowling attack for Bangladesh as she scalped three wickets for 12 runs in her 3-over spell.

In response, wicket-keeper batter Shamima Sultana led from the front as Bangladesh reached the 113-run target with ease losing only 3 wickets.
Sultana scored 48 runs off 44 balls with 5 fours and a six. Sobhana Mostary and Shathi Rani contributed with 28 and 20 runs respectively.
Malsha Shehani impressed with the ball for Sri Lanka taking two wickets for 22 runs.
