Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto stated that leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is still not prepared for red-ball cricket, despite being the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the recent T20 World Cup.
Rishad's leg spin has added much-needed diversity to Bangladesh's bowling attack in white-ball cricket. However, captain Nazmul expressed doubts about Rishad's suitability for Test cricket at the moment.

"In my opinion, I don't believe he is currently prepared for red-ball cricket," Shanto told the media on Tuesday.

"Mushtaq has done an excellent job, and other spinners, including Rishad, have been comfortable working with him. However, I don't want to attribute all the credit to Mushtaq Ahmed alone. Rishad was receiving coaching from our local coaches even before that," he added.
