Tamim needs to choose his words wisely

Tamim Iqbal Khan was served a show-cause by the Bangladesh
Cricket Board (BCB) that demanded his presence at a disciplinary committee
hearing to construe his statement relating to the pitch at Sher-E-Bangla
National Stadium in Mirpur.
The skipper of the Comilla Victorians had made a comment about the pitch in the presentation ceremony after their clash against the Rangpur Riders on 2nd December, which was a breach of code of conduct according to the board. BCB took the step as they felt that Tamim was not supposed to make such a statement.
Tamim, using the word ‘horrible’ to describe the pitch, violated the code of conduct. Another player, Mosaddek Hossain, also felt the need for better pitches after teams were dismissed for 97 and 106 on 2nd December and 67 the following day.
The Dhaka Dynamites batsman reportedly said, “I think the wicket should be better than what it is now because fans love to watch four and sixes in a T20 game. There is also the question of the batsmen's confidence. We played in Chittagong and you just see the difference between the wickets in Chittagong and Dhaka. I think we should be more caring about the pitches,”
Tamim Iqbal said he understood the implications of his words and said, “I could have used a better word”

“Maybe I did not communicate in the best possible way and this is what I said t to them,” the 28-year-old said.
“They told me about their concerns and I feel like I could have used a better word to describe it [wicket and the outfield],”
"I think they are convinced with my explanation. Obviously I
do not know what decision they are going to take but in the coming days we will
know.”
The opening batsman of Bangladesh was supposed to appear at the hearing on 21st December. However, BCB changed the date to 14th instant upon the request of Tamim himself. He will be going to join the t-10 league which starts in UAE today.
"I did not talk about the NOC but they [BCB] wished me well for the T10 tournament," Tamim said.
