The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Women's Asia Cup, to be held in Sri Lanka. This tournament marks the return of two experienced players, Jahanara Alam and Rumana Ahmed, to the national team after a long hiatus.

The T20 format tournament will take place in Dambulla, Sri Lanka, from July 19 to 28, featuring eight teams. The BCB has released the squad well in advance of the competition.

Jahanara has been rewarded for her outstanding performance with the ball in this year's Women's DPL. The right-arm pacer claimed a tournament-high 25 wickets in 9 matches. Her impressive performance has earned her a recall to the national team after more than a year.

Leg-spinner Rumana Ahmed returns to the squad after 16 months. In this year's league, she took 17 wickets in 5 matches and scored 241 runs in 6 innings. Her all-round performance has paved the way for her return to the national team.
