Fahima: Australia struggled against our bowlers

Bangladesh women's all-rounder Fahima Khatun asserted that the Australian cricket team faced a tough challenge against their bowlers, and the opponent's victory in the match was because of their mistakes.
Fahima, an experienced leg-spinner of Bangladesh was quite satisfied with the bowling performance in the first match despite the team's eventual 118-run loss in the first ODI.
The all-rounder reckoned that the opponents managed to go past 200 runs due to their mistakes, including a few missed catches and instances of misfielding in the middle.
According to the bowler, if they had held Australia to below 200, they could have won the match.
“The way we started the bowling, we aimed to restrict them to few runs with the power we have. They are a big team, (but) we didn't think that way. We tried to play our best cricket with the strength we had. We bowled very well, yes, there were a few missed catches in the middle, misfielding. Due to this, they managed to cross the run of 200,” Fahima said in the press conference today.
“'I think our bowlers have bowled very well. They scored 300 more runs against other teams. I think they struggled against our bowlers. It was because of our mistakes that they managed to get past two hundred,” he added.
Bangladesh will take on Australia in the second ODI on March 24 at the Sher e Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
