South African star batter Rassie van der Dussen has joined Rangpur Riders for the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Rangpur confirmed the matter on their social media handle on Sunday.

Star cricketers like Babar Azam and Mohammed Nabi have already come to play for Rangpur, while Bangladesh’s biggest name Shakib Al Hasan is also in the team.

Dusen is a big name in T20 cricket. He played 175 matches and scored 4911 runs at an average of 35.58 with a strike rate of 130.05. 1071 runs came from his bat in 43 T20Is.

Meanwhile, Rangpur did not start the tournament well. They have lost two out of four matches.

Rangpur are now fourth in the points table as they will face Comilla Victorians in the next match on Tuesday.
