Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has left the Fortune Barishal's camp in the middle of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) due to personal reasons.

Another Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad is set to join Barishal as a replacement of Malik. The veteran cricketer had flown to Dubai after the end of the Dhaka phase and was expected to join the team on February 6th. However, it was revealed that he would not take part in the tournament anymore.

Malik failed to impress in the year's BPL as he appeared in three matches for Barishal and scored 17, 5 and 7 runs respectively, and took only one wicket.

Meanwhile, Afgan opener Ibrahim Zadran left Dhaka for their National duty. It was also learned that Caribbean all-rounder Kyle Myers is also expected to join the team.

Barishal are currently placed in fifth position after two defeats and a solitary win in the ongoing tournament.
