Comilla Victorian’s fast-bowler Mathew Forde reckoned that his side doesn’t underestimate any opponent and approaches each game with a ‘killer instinct’.

The four-time BPL winners didn’t make a pleasant start to the new season as they suffered a five-wicket defeat against Durdanto Dhaka. However, the Caribbean bowler insisted the team's focus on moving forward without dwelling on the initial setback.

“We want to win every game and analyze behind the scenes and discuss what we need to do as a team. We don’t take anyone lightly we walk into the field with a killer instinct so for us it's just the execution on the day,” said Forde.

According to the bowler, the franchise has a history of losing the first game but they want to learn from the defeat and move forward to the long tournament.

“Obviously, we have lost the first game and the boys told me we have a history of losing the first game. But for us we have got the bad game early so we have to play our best now. It was a loss but it was a fighting loss, we fought till the end and that’s a loss we can live with and move forward,” he added.

When asked about his goal for the tournament, he said ‘My personal goal is to lift the trophy again with the Victorians, me and the boys are on the same page and we are working towards that.”
