Bangladesh's fast bowling coach Allan Donald will part ways with Bangladesh coaching panel after the team's final match in the ongoing ICC ODI World Cup against Australia in Pune on Saturday.
Donald, who is also known as 'White Lightning', recently gave an interview and said he doesn't "like that sort of thing", referring to Shakib Al Hasan appealing for a timed out dismissal against Sri Lanka batter Angelo Mathews in their World Cup match in Delhi on Monday.
Despite being a part of the team management, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) did not take Donald's statement well as they issued the former South African bowler a show-cause notice.

However, Donald has learned that BCB is not interested in continuing with him, and he knows who is behind this, but he didn’t disclose any names.
"Here I am being criticized for speaking out against something I am very, very passionate about, is integrity of the game. And here it is in the press that I know, obviously, that there were several individuals in that room today in a team meeting who can speak out that I am finally finished. So that was meant to be until after the World cup and obviously someone, and I know who that person is, has spoken out about me finishing. So that's fine. No problem. No problem at all. I'm going home. I'm going home to my family.” Donald clarified his statement to the media.
In March of last year, Donald became coach of the Tigers' pace-bowling unit in anticipation of the T20 World Cup.
He had taken over for Otis Gibson, who did not have a pleasant finish with Bangladesh cricket, even though he was well-liked by his students.
In Donald’s era, Bangladesh team saw a new strong pace bowling set, who can win matches as he said his mindset regarding the Bangladesh team and fast-bowling group will not change ever.
“I've had a great run. I had a wonderful run with this group and my role was fast bowling coach and it was an amazing run with this group and I am extremely proud of what they've achieved. I will miss them dearly, 100%. I will miss them dearly as we have created such a tight bond with all of us, all the play, all the fast bowlers and, you know, so I really am very proud of what they have achieved as a group,”
“I said so many times that I can sit around the table and sell them a plan, but if they're not willing to try a new mindset a different ways, put yourself out there, explore yourself better, then I'm not going to be much efficient if they don't try that. But these group of guys have really gone out there and they've given it a crack and that's all I can ask for. I'm so super proud of them. Really proud of them. Each and every single one of them have been amazing and I will miss that. I will really miss that,” he added.
