Australia all-rounder Cameron Green has declared himself 100% fit for the third Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against India.
Green suffered a finger injury during the South Africa series last year, the pace-bowling all-rounder said he was eager to play the second game.
“I was so, so close last game, but I think probably having an extra week has helped a lot, I am 100% ready to go. It’s just a few instances in the nets where I'd go for a sweep and it just jarred the end of my bat," said Green.
“We probably just thought that we'd sacrifice a game and with obviously the year ahead that we've got, it's probably the right call,” he added.
Australia are already without their captain Pat Cummins for personal reasons, while David Warner, Ashton Agar and Josh Hazlewood are ruled out due to injuries.
Green's return will be a major boost for the Aussies, Mitchell Starc is also set to join the injury-prone side in the Third Test.
The third game between India and Australia is all set to begin from March 1, with India leading the four-match series 2-0.
