Nine Bangladeshi cricketers were named for the upcoming auction of the women's Indian Premier League. The auction will take place on February 13th.


The tournament is scheduled to start on March 4.

Only 409 cricket players made the final shortlist out of the 1,525 who submitted their names for the auction. They include 163 foreigners and 246 Indian cricket players.


All-rounder Salma Khatun was named in set two, while Tigress pacer Jahanara Alam was named in the pace-bowler category from set one. Additionally included were Shorna Akter, Nigar Sultana, Rumana Ahmed, Nahida Akhter, Lota Mondol, Ritu Moni, and Sobhana Mostari.


In the top category, 24 cricketers were given starting salaries of 50 lakh Indian rupees each. There is a maximum of 18 players per team.


Bangladesh women team are currently on the mission of T20 World Cup in South Africa.
