Hashan Tillakaratne, former Sri Lanka Test captain, is set to take over as head coach of Bangladesh's women's national cricket team.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director and women's wing chairman Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel has confirmed the update.
Tillakaratne was appointed head coach of the Sri Lanka women's cricket team in July of last year. Sri Lanka reached the final of the just concluded Asia Cup in Sylhet earlier this month, led by Tillakaratne.

During his stay in Sylhet, the BCB interviewed him as a possible candidate for the role of head coach. He will begin working for the BCB on November 1.
After Anju Jain stepped down as head coach in 2020, local coach Mahmud Emon took over.
The Tigresses had a disappointing Asia Cup season, as the defending champions were eliminated from the continental competition at the league stage.
