Bangladesh captain Shakib al Hasan praised the Bangladesh pace attack, notably Taskin Ahmed, for his performance against the Netherlands. Bangladeshi fast bowlers have had a good year, leading from the front in victories in New Zealand and South Africa.
Taskin missed out on a maiden hat-trick and five-for [4-25] in Twenty20 Internationals but the effort earned the 27-year old his first player of the match award in the shortest format of the game against the Dutch.
In the pre-match press meet Bangladesh skipper said that after the veteran Mashrafe bin Mortaza, Taskin is one of the leaders of Tigers' pace bowling unit.

"Taskin is one of the leaders now after Mashrafe's exit. He has done tremendously well in the last two years for Bangladesh. He is leading by example,” said Shakib.

"We have a very good fast bowling group in all three formats. I can't be more proud of how they have improved themselves and come this far, and it is showing in the results. I hope they continue their form in this World Cup" he added.
Bangladesh will meet South Africa for their second match of the T20 World Cup tomorrow [Thursday] at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney.
South Africa had to contend with just one point after rain halted their chase against Zimbabwe in Hobart earlier in the week.
