Bangladesh wicket-keeper batter Anamul Haque Bijoy was astounded and correspondingly disappointed with the outcome of the recent white-ball series against Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh lost a T20 series 2-1 against Zimbabwe for the first time in 9 years, while the Tigers were also beaten in the ODI series 2-1.
Bijoy admitted that it was difficult for the side to win against Zimbabwe on their own soil, he was also miffed for not being able to deliver their full potency.

"It was not easy to win against Zimbabwe. They played really good cricket, we definitely had some lackings,” Bijoy told the media at the airport on Friday.

“ We were surprised after losing the first match. We could not perform as well as our expectations. Of course, it was disappointing for us. In the second match, when I saw them progressing in the same way, we were a little nervous. But I think we couldn't play with our 100 percent in this series,” he added.
Bijoy, who returned to international cricket after a three-year, was overjoyed and eager to capitalize on the opportunity. Although Bijoy failed in the T20s, he made a great comeback scoring two fifties in ODIs.
“I was called up to the one-day squad after many years. That's why I was really excited. I worked hard for this. Actually, I tried to use the opportunity since I came back after three years. Of course, it would have been great if I could contribute to the victory of the team,” he added.
