Shaheen on Umran: Speed can’t help you if you don’t have line, length and swing

Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi opined on new pace sensational Umran Malik and said he needs to show more accuracy to taste consistent success at the highest level.
Umran was the highest wicket-taking Indian pacer in the IPL 2022 season, bagging 22 wickets.
“Speed can’t help you if you don’t have line and length and swing,” Shaheen was quoted as saying to the reporters.
Nevertheless, I try to focus on my fitness so that my pace can also increase. Hopefully, I will be able to generate more pace and my line and length will also get better,”
Pakistan set to plat three ODIs against West Indies at Multan Cricket Stadium, Afridi said that his team is up for the challenge of playing in hot and humid conditions. The first ODI will begin.
“The weather is hot but we are looking forward to playing good cricket in it. It would be a tough challenge for the fast bowlers to bowl long spells in summer, but as a professional, we are ready to face it,” he stated.
