Miraz embracing Shakib’s role but doing it his own way

Bangladesh team director Khaled Mahmud Sujon reminded that Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) stands above everything in the country’s cricket as the board created and has invested to build the national cricketers.
Sujon was disappointed with the issue of whether Shakib al Hasan would play red ball or not. The BCB has announced the ODI and Test squads for the upcoming tour of South Africa, including Shakib in the squad.
However, Shakib stated that he was not mentally prepared and was not in good condition to play international cricket at the present.

“It's time for a full stop. Enough is enough. He can't decide, he will play or won't play. If someone doesn't want to play, he won’t, if you want to play then…play. No one is stopping you. BCB president wanted to say the same. Maybe he said in a different way,” Sujon told the media on March 8.

“It will be decided by the BCB. They are the products of BCB. BCB is not their product. BCB is not for any individual. They are the main stakeholders of Bangladesh. BCB has contributed to these cricketers. The BCB has spent a lot of money to build them. The BCB is certainly our guardian. None of us are beyond BCB,”
Sujon said BCB doesn't care whether Shakib want to continue in the Test format.
“If Shakib doesn't play Tests, I don't care. I don’t think BCB is worrying about it. You can't force it. We want Shakib to play. We want Shakib to play as long as he is fit,” he said.
"If he thinks he's not enjoying it, I think he should clear that he doesn’t want to play Tests or ODIs or T20s. Then BCB can make one permanent replacement in his place,” he added.
