The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will hold a discussion with all-rounder Shakib al Hasan regarding his participation in Test format after the ODI series against Afghanistan.
Jalal Younis, chairman of the BCB's cricket operations committee said the board president Nazmul Hasan Papon would also be present during the meeting.
“Not only South Africa series, basically we will ask him for a one-year plan,” Jalal Yunus told the media at the press box at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.

“Media have reported that he does not want to play Test matches. But we know he wants to play the Test matches. We want to know how many Test matches he will play, what is his plan. We want him to clear all the issues, we will talk after the ODI series,” he said.

After the ODI series, Shakib is expected to sit with the board members before the T20I series.
"Since he is not going to the IPL now, the scenario has changed. Shakib said he would sit down with the BCB president tomorrow or at the end of the series (after the one-day series) and he would announce his plans,” he added.
Shakib skipped the Test series against New Zealand on January. He also missed the tour of South Africa in 2017-18, and then he skipped the Sri Lanka Tests last year due to his IPL commitments.
