Veteran all-rounder Shahid Afridi heaped praises on former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram after being inducted into the Hall of Fame by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Taking to Twitter, Afridi appreciated PCB for honoring legends with Hall of Fame. “This is an incredible recognition & award for an incredible legend! Wasim Akram was one of my heroes and it was an honour playing with him. I owe so much of my success as a cricketer to Wasim Bhai. Good job PCB in recognising the services of an all-time great,” he wrote.

Akram received Hall of Fame from former West Indian great, Vivian Richards during Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7 on February 20.
Akram is one of the eight Pakistan stalwarts who are members of the PCB Hall of Fame. Others are Abdul Qadir, Fazal Mahmood, Hanif Mohammad, Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Waqar Younis and Zaheer Abbas.
Akram took a total of 916 wickets and scored 6,615 runs in an international career from 1984 to 2003.
