The condition of Bangladesh is familiar to the cricketers of Afghanistan as this time there is an opportunity to play the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and camp in Sylhet just before the bilateral series.
All in all, Afghan spin-star Mujeeb Ur Rahman thinks that the Afghans will take on the hosts with great relief.
Speaking to the media on Thursday after the practice of Fortune Barisal, Mujeeb said that they will lock horns against Bangladesh with confidence due to the conditions and wickets.

"We have come to Bangladesh before, we have played many series. Glad to come this time. We have a series against Bangladesh after the BPL. We are happy with the spinning condition here. Like other wickets in Asia, Dhaka-Chittagong-Sylhet wickets are good for us,” Mujeeb said.
Mujeeb has also praised Bangladesh spinner, especially ODI no.1 all-rounder Shakib al Hasan, who is leading Barishal.
“Bangladesh spinners are very good. Like Shakib, they are also very good. But we have leggy, mystery spinners. We [He and Shakib] discuss together when we are at camp or playing leagues. We talk about wickets, players. So we share experiences with each other,” he added.
The Afghanistan team will arrive in Bangladesh before the end of BPL. The two teams will play a three-match ODI series and a two-match T20 series.
The three-match ODI series between the two teams is part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.
With 8 wins in 12 matches, Bangladesh is currently number two in the points table. After winning all the matches, Afghanistan is also moving forward at a great pace. According to Mujib, Super League points will give this series a different dimension.
"Teams like Bangladesh and Afghanistan need points in ODIs. All teams want to win and get points” he added.
