Three members of the Bangladesh women's cricket team have tested positive for Covid-19, including one player and two supporting staff.
The rest of the team has left for New Zealand ahead of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup in March. Those who get positive results will have to spend eight days in isolation.
“Our women’s cricket team are travelling (Thursday). But one of the players from the squad and two officials' Covid-19 result came out as positive. They will be tested eight days later again and upon testing negative on those results they will hopefully fly to New Zealand on February 14 or 15," said BCB director and women’s wing chairman Shafiul Islam Nadel to the media.

When the team arrives in New Zealand, they will be subjected to a 10-day compulsory quarantine.
Bangladesh will play two practice games against a local team before playing two official warm-up matches.
Apart from that, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) would attempt to schedule another practice match.
The Bangladesh team will be led by Nigar Sultana Joty and it will be Bangladesh's first appearance in the 50-over World Cup.
The Tigresses will play their first World Cup game on 5 March.
