Nuzhat included in Tigresses’ squad for Women’s WC

Nuzhat Tasnia, a wicket-keeper batter, has been named as Bangladesh's second traveling reserve player for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2022 in New Zealand, which will be contested in March-April.


Along with Shanjida Akther Maghla, the wicketkeeper batter has been included in travelling reserve for the Tigresses, a BCB press release said.

Tasnia is being added as a precautionary measure in light of the Covid-19 scenario.


The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had previously announced the 16-member squad, which included Jahanara Alam, who was making her comeback.


Nigar Sultana Joty and her team had already begun their training camp on January 29 in preparation for their first appearance in the fifty-over World Cup.
