Comilla seal third straight win, beat Chattogram by 52 runs

27 Mar 25Comilla Victorians registered their third successive win in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), defeating Chattogram Challengers by 52 runs at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Monday.
Chasing 184, Chattogram opener Will Jacks smashed 69 runs in 42 balls which featured 7 fours and three sixes. Nahidul Islam was the pick of the bowling as he scalped three for 17 runs in his four overs.

Only Mehidy Hasan Miraz (10) and Mrittunjoy Chowdhury (13) were able to reach the double figures, as Chattogram, eventually summon 131 runs.
Apart from Nahidul, Mustafizur Rahman, Shohidul Islam and Tanvir Islam picked up two wickets each for Comilla.
After being invited to bat first, Comilla’s Liton Das and Faf du Plessis amassed 84 run for the second wicket stand. Liton departed for 47 after facing 34 balls with 5 fours and a six.
However, Faf smacked his first BPL’s half-century and went on to score unbeaten 83 off 55 deliveries, hitting 8 fours and three sixes. While Cameron Delport celebrated a stormy fifty, smashing 51 off 23 with 4 fours and 3 sixes.
Nasum Ahmed took a couple of wickets and Benny Howell got a wicket for the home side.
