Rakibul: We will play fearless and positive cricket against India

Bangladesh U-19 skipper Rakibul Hasan was confident in his team's ability to play fearlessly in the Under-19 quarterfinal clash against India.
Bangladesh defeated Canada and UAE to in the group stage to reach the quarter-finals, the skipper said he they are well prepared for the knockout game.
“We got a gap of four-five days before the quarter-final. We had good practice sessions and also held a game scenario session,” said Rakibul in a video message.

“So, we are in a good shape both mentally and physically. We are feeling quite confident after winning the last two matches. Our batsmen scored runs, bowlers bowled well in those games,” he added.
Rakibul also said they want to put on the positive result by playing fearless cricket.
“We are confident about our skill-set. We will try to execute our plans 100 percent on the ground. We will play fearless and positive cricket against them [India],” he added.
Bangladesh faced India at the semi-final of U-19 Asia Cup in the UAE in December 2021, the junior Tigers lost by 103 runs.
Rakibul believes that the familiarity with the opponents will serve his team well in the knock-out game.
"We have played a few matches against India. We played the Asia Cup semi-final match against them and also played a series over there [India]. So, we know about their strengths and weaknesses. If we can execute our plan and keep small mistakes to a minimum, then we will come out with a good result," he added.
