Pakistan’s batsman Umar Akmal is now eligible for the rehabilitation program after paying the complete amount of the fine on Tuesday.
A PCB source confirmed that Akmal has paid the 4.5 million rupee fine imposed on him by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) in February while dealing with complaints submitted by the batsman and the PCB.
"Umar has deposited the full amount of 4.5 million rupees with the board which means he is now eligible to start the rehab program of the Anti-Corruption code of the board," the source said.

"But practically it will take some time before Akmal can resume his cricket career as his rehab program will take some time since the anti-corruption unit of the PCB is presently busy with the Pakistan Super League matches to be held in Abu Dhabi next month," the source said
Earlier, The PCB had rejected the request made by batsman Umar Akmal to pay his fine in installments.
The Chairman Disciplinary Panel found Umar Akmal guilty on two charges of separate violations of Article 2.4.4 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code in two unconnected events on April 27, 2020, and sentenced him to a three-year ban with the periods of ineligibility running consecutively.
CAS had reduced an 18-month ban on Akmal to 12 months for breaching the PCB's Anti-Corruption code but hit him with the fine.
The 31-year-old Akmal, has not played for Pakistan since November, he last appeared in a T20 series at Lahore against Sri Lanka while his last Test appearance for his country was way back in late 2011 while his last ODI series was in March-April 2019 against Australia.
