Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has made the prime contribution to the team's victory against Sri Lanka by scoring a great century. The wicketkeeper-batsman could have scored a century in the first match as well but he was out for 84 while playing a reverse sweep.
Mushfiqur played a great innings of 125 off 127 balls in the second ODI, getting his eighth ODI century. During the second match, Mushfiqur was not spotted attempting a reverse sweep. When questioned why he didn't play the shot, he laughed and said that if the opportunity arises, he will play multiple reverse sweeps in the next match.

"I think it's one of my favorite shots and one of my strengths. Such situation did not come in this match, then I will definitely play again, if I get the opportunity. If this kind of situation arises in the third ODI, I will play not one, but four or five more [reverse sweep],” said Mushfiqur.
Mushfiqur's century helped Bangladesh to reach 246 runs against Sri Lanka. Not only that, Tiger’s won the match by 103 runs. As a result, Bangladesh sealed the series against Sri Lanka for the first time.
He said, 'Every century is special to me, if the team wins. It’s even more special because we never won a series against Sri Lanka before. We won the series for the century. It will definitely motivate me to do better in the future,” Mushfiqur added.
