Shakib Al Hasan failed with the bat in the second ODI too against Sri Lanka, however, the world's best all-rounder has got success with the ball. Shakib took two wickets for 36 runs in 9 overs as the poster boy of Bangladesh cricket has touched two great records at once.
So far, Mashrafe bin Mortaza has taken the most ODI wickets for Bangladesh. The former captain was on top with 269 wickets in 218 ODIs. Today Shakib sat next to Mashrafe with two wickets. The star cricketer got his 269th wicket for Bangladesh after playing the 211th ODI of his career.

In another record, Shakib has caught Pakistan's legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram. Wasim Akram holds the record for most wickets in a single venue. The Pakistani legend took 122 wickets in 77 matches at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The left-arm all-rounder took his 122nd wicket in the 84th ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today.
