Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Nazmul Hassan Papon has expressed frustation over Bangladesh's poor batting in the first ODI against Sri Lanka. He also questioned the cricketers' shot selection during the press conference on Sunday [May 23].
He thinks that Sri Lanka bowlers did not bowl or field that well to get the Bangladesh batsmen out. Bangladesh batsmen have lost wickets due to poor selection ofA shots.

“It’s not a matter of win or loses. Look at our batting today. How many good balls or fielding’s they did to take our wickets? Were the shot selections right? There is no benefit in bringing a good coach here,” said Papon.
Opener Liton Das was caught at the slip while playing the ball outside the off stump at the beginning of innings and Mohammad Mithun had to return for a naught by LBW.
While experienced Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored 84 off 87 ball was dismissed playing a reverse sweep during the crucial time.
“Let’s put the coach aside. At first we have to sit down with the players and discuss about their point of view. There were few ugly dismissals, when there was no need of playing those shots,” he added.
