Sri Lanka’s two players and bowling coach have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the opening Bangladesh-Sri Lanka ODI in Dhaka on Sunday (May 23).
Sri Lanka bowling coach Chaminda Vaas and two cricketers Isuru Udana and Shiran Fernando tested positive. According to reports they all are waiting for the second PCR test. However they haven’t shown any symptoms.

"Two players and a coach from Sri Lanka's contingent have tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the first ODI against Bangladesh in Dhaka," ESPNcricinfo reported.
Earlier, Bangladesh team leader Khaled Mahmud Sujon contracted coronavirus. In such a situation, the bio-bubble system was questioned, created by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The positive cases have cast doubt on the series, which is part of the ODI Super League. All three matches are set to take place in Dhaka, with the second and third one-day internationals taking place on May 25 and 28, respectively.
