Jos Buttler's maiden IPL ton was beautifully complemented by an all-round bowling performance as Rajasthan Royals crushed Sunrisers Hyderabad by 55 runs in Delhi.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have won the toss and have opted to field first. Under the new captain, Kane Williamson, SRH made three changes as Mohammed Nabi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Abdul Samad returned in place of David Warner, Suchit and Siddharth Kaul. On the other hand, Sanju Samson also named two changes where Jaydev Unadkat was replaced by Karthik Tyagi and Anuj Rawat made his debut in place of Shivam Dube.

Put into bat, RR got a big blow as their in-form opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got out for 12. However, it was Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson who steadied the ship. They posted 77 runs after 10 overs and soon after they paced up things where Buttler brought up his fifty off 39 balls with a huge six. The duo added 100 runs soon after.

Buttler smashed two sixes and two boundaries in the 15th over. While Samson fell just short of his fifty, Buttler smashed his IPL century in the 17th over. In the penultimate over, he hit three more sixes and a boundary before getting bowled for 124 off 64 with 11 fours and 8 sixes. And, his century helped his side put up 220 runs as well.
While chasing, both Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow added 57 runs inside the powerplay. However, Pandey couldn't contribute much and got out for 31 as well and Bairstow too fell for 30. However, their middle-order once again failed to steady the ship and they eventually failed to step up and lost by 55 runs.
Mustafizur Rahman and Chris Morris got three wickets each while Kartik Tyagi and Rahul Tewatia also bagged a wicket apiece to choke Sunrisers. With this win, Rajasthan rose to the sixth spot while Sunrisers continue to languish at the bottom of the table.
