A tri-nation series about to be held between Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka before the women's cricket World Cup qualifiers 2022 in Sri Lanka, which is scheduled to be held June-July this year. But considering the global situation in Corona, the series is not happening at the moment.
However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is thinking of playing a bilateral series against the Lankans even if it is not a tri-nation series. To that end, the women's cricket wing of the BCB is considering organizing a preparation camp for the red-green women team after Eid-ul-Fitr.

Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Chairman of Bangladesh Women's Cricket Wing confirmed the cancellation of the tri-nation tournament but also said BCB is planning thinking to play against only Sri Lanka.
“At the moment the women’s tri-series is not actually happening. We were supposed to go to Sri Lanka in June. The matter now depends entirely on the situation. We will start the camp ahead of the tour of Sri Lanka. Initially, the plan was to play a tri-nation series against Pakistan, Sri Lanka but Pakistan did not respond. So we are just thinking of playing against Sri Lanka” Nadel said.
Almost every cricket event in the country has come to a standstill due to the Corona surge. The National Cricket League (NCL) was suspended, men U-19 series against Pakistan was also cancelled. BCB has also postponed the hosting of the Women's Under-19 World Cup in the country this year. If all goes well, maybe in 2023 it will happen.
