After losing the Chittagong Test, Bangladesh is fighting to draw the Dhaka Test. West Indies finished the day with 223 runs for 5 wickets. However, pacer Abu Jayed Rahi, who took two wickets on the day, said at the end of the day that Bangladesh's goal was to keep Kraigg Brathwaite's side at 270-300.
Despite taking 5 wickets against the visiting team, Nkrumah Bonner has been unbeaten on 74 runs. Joshua de Silva finished the day with 22 runs. The task will be easier for Bangladesh if these two return quickly on the second day.

The first hour of the day went into the hand of the West Indies. Bangladesh took one wicket just before lunch and got 3 more successes in the second session. In the last session, Bonner took the visitors to a better position. Even though, Rahi thinks the two teams are on equal stage.

"Of course I am satisfied. If you look at the scorecard, they made 223 in 90 overs on this wicket, I think now it's fifty-fifty, for two teams. 'Pacer said.
"We need to win the test. So I think we should get them all out between 270 to 300. My plan was to stop the run. I was able to do that and take the wicket”he added.
Apart from Abu Jayed, Taijul Islam took 2 wickets. And one wicket has gone to the Soumya Sarkar.
