Bangladesh will take on visitors West Indies in the second and the final Test match of the series beginning at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Thursday as West Indies hold the lead in the series and have the chance to whitewash the host. Debutants Kyle Mayers and Nkrumah Bonner put together a comeback for the ages on the fifth day in Chattogram. But skipper Kraigg Brathwaite doesn’t take that win for granted and play better cricket again.

“We got a nice win but we have to start over fresh. We have to buckle down, and can’t be complacent. We have to fight hard again. We as a team don’t want to get too far ahead. We have five days of Test cricket to play. We are very happy to have won the first Test. We want to buckle down. Victory has meant a lot for us. The guys are very proud of winning the first Test but we look forward to the next five days” said Brathwaite

On a spin friendly track in the port city couldn’t help the Tiger spinners on the fifth day, while in Mirpur the Host will also likely get a spin kind pitch. However, West Indies slow left-arm orthodox Jomel Andrel Warrican, who bagged eight wickets in the first Test will also looking forward to give a hard time to Tiger batsmen. The Caribbeans might include another spinner with Warrican and Rahkeem Cornwallto to get benefit of a slow pitch.

“The pitch is quite similar to the first Test in terms of dryness. There are some cracks as well, so I think it will be quite similar. It will probably be slower even than the first Test. Looking at the pitch, it will be a thought. Permaul [Veerasammy Permaul] is a quality spinner who has experience playing here. We will make the decision tomorrow.” he added.
