Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official said on Monday that a 24-member contingent of Bangladesh Team is expected to tour Sri Lanka and have completed corona testing.
The members include cricketers and support staff scheduled to visit Sri Lanka for the three-match Test series while some are members of the High Performance Unit expected to visit to play a bilateral series.

BCB earlier said that samples for COVID-19 test will be collected from national team players and probable and relevant support personnel on September 7 but it had to be increased by one day as all the members could not be tested on Monday.
BCB said the initiative is taken as part of the BCB’s coronavirus management plan and to ensure player safety for training sessions leading up to the forthcoming Tour of Sri Lanka.
‘’We have tested 24 individuals who are part of the Sri Lanka tour that includes cricketers and support staff and we will test the remaining members of the contingent who will be tested tomorrow,’’ BCB chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told reporters on Monday.
‘’Hopefully we will get the report within 24 hours and later start our activities,’’ he said.
Earlier, BCB decided to stop individual practice sessions as part of COVID-19 precaution, with some of the support staff showing symptoms and now the board insisted the individual training session will start from September 9.
