Bangladesh skipper Mashrafee bin Mortaza indicated that he was not free to choose the playing XI as he stated that he had nothing to do with the ongoing saga of Mushfiqur Rahim.
Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafee bin Mortaza insisted that they should not put any pressure on Mushfiqur Rahim as he asked everyone to remember his contribution to the game.
In the recent past, Mushfiqur hogged all the spotlight for his meeting with the selectors where he was threatened on behalf of the BCB president Nazmul Hasan.
It was reported that he was informed that he might be dropped from the second ODI’s if he fails to change his mind and go to Pakistan, where he refused to travel due to security reasons.
According to the revised schedule, Bangladesh will play the only ODI in Karachi on April 1. The BCB and selectors know best what will be the benefit by playing this only match practice. And for the match practice, there is the Premier League up ahead.

"In the absence of Mushfiqur, we will play the last match of the Zimbabwe series as we would like to play in the match against Pakistan."
Mushfiqur has decided not to go to Pakistan from the very beginning. His decision did not come as a surprise. Because, BCB said that if a cricketer does not want to go on this tour, he will not be forced.
Mushfiqur made it easy for him to decide to refrain from going to Pakistan by prioritizing his family's wishes.
The whole situation is quite complex at the moment and according to sources, it would not be surprising if someone sees Mushfiqur playing in the last game against Zimbabwe provided Mashrafee make the call.
However, he insisted that he cannot do much in this kind of matter.
‘’These are some technical decisions [regarding Mushfiqur]. Even the captain cannot make these decisions,’’ Mashrafee said admitting his limitation when BCB high-ups poke their nose into playing XI.
‘’I personally think, even if Mushfiqur goes through a bad phase, I have to think first the amount of runs he has done,’’ he said.
‘’The contribution behind the winnings of Bangladesh and you all know he is one of the best cricketers at number four position,’’ he said.
‘’If we consider everything, the guys who have been performing for so long, who has played for 12-13 years for Bangladesh- we should ensure that he should not be under any mental pressure for a certain time,’’ he said.
‘’But the process, if he is made understand with proper discussions from both sides, then I think there are not many things to discuss. I mean a proper discussion so that Mushfiqur won’t feel pressured and the board’s plan also becomes successful. If they are able to come to that point, that will be better,’’ he added
