Bangladesh Test skipper Mominul Haque said on Thursday that he is not worried with BCL turning in single league as he don’t have any power to do anything with it.

The Bangladesh Cricket League, country's lone franchise-based four-day tournament starts at different venues of the country from Friday.

For the local cricketers there are only two first-class tournament with the other one being National Cricket League that is played between eight divisional sides while the BCL is being played among four zonal-based teams.

BCB decided to change the domestic calendar and move forward BCL this year because of the upcoming Test series against Pakistan, scheduled from Feburay7, as the board wants to prepare the Test players by playing the four-day competition.

This year BCL will be played on single league basis that used to double league in previous year.

‘’Very few things are in under control of people. I don’t think about these things a lot. I should not think what is not in my control. I will think about that, what will be under my control. I have to play with what I have. We have to mentally very strong with these small things. Who can overcome these, it will be good for them in future,’’ Islamic Bank Central Zone skipper Mominul Haque said regarding the unexpected change in the BCL from double league to single league on Thursday.

Mominul added that he is expecting exciting match as the wicket have some grass in it.

‘’Challenge is there in the wicket for first one to two hours in four day matches. As much as I have seen, the wicket will be very good for batting, hard. The grasses are fresh. And in Mirpur, bowlers and batsmen both get advantage And more importantly, both teams have good pacers. So I think everyone will enjoy watching the match.
