Bangladesh chief selector Minhajul Abedin said on Thursday that they will groom the Under-19 cricketers by bringing them into HIGH-Performance program in the coming days.
Bangladesh Under-19 cricketers reached the semi-final of the ongoing ICC Under-19 World Cup and showed enough potential in the global age-group tournament to be considered as stars of tomorrow.
Bangladesh are bidding to get into the final for the first time while New Zealand have not reached the final since 1998.

Bangladesh, meanwhile, topped their group after wins against Scotland and Zimbabwe, though they had the rain to thank for a no result against Pakistan that saw them top the group.
Young left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan, who picked a hat-trick against Scotland and followed it up with 5-19 against South Africa left his mark in the competition while along with some renowned name Tanzid Hasan is a star in the making.
Considering the way Tawhid Ridoy, Shoriful Hasan and others are playing certainly they are considered as future prospect of the nation.
‘’We are bringing these [Under19] players into our HP program that used to be known earlier as BCB Academy program but now we don’t have the academy program.
We havd High Performance and we will nurse them there and in the last HP camp we got some good player in good position,’’ he said.
‘’Nothing can be better if we can develop national players from HP as eventually it will bring us good result,’’ he said.
