Shakib replaced in MCC

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and former west indies fast bowler Ian bishop have been replaced by former England captain Alistair Cook and current cricket west indies president Ricky Skeritt in the Marylebone Cricket Club’s World Cricket committee, MCC announced on Tuesday.
Shakib was the first Bangladeshi player to join the MCC committee.
Shakib wjo joined the committee in 2017 had to resign on October 29 last year after he was handed a two-year ban with one year suspended by the International Cricket Council for his failure to report multiple corrupt approaches.

MCC finally announced replacement of shakib and Bishop after Cook and Skeritt accepted their invitation to join the committee.
MCC World Cricket committee chairman Mike Gatting was thrilled with the new inclusions and hoped to keep working on ways to improve the game along with them.
‘I am thrilled that Sir Alastair and Ricky have both accepted our invitation to join the MCC World Cricket committee,’ Gatting was quoted as saying in a media release.
‘He [Alastair] can give insight from a current players’ perspective, as well using his undisputable international experience,’ he added.
The MCC Committee, which was formed in 2006, consists of 14 members and sits every two years to discuss the most important issues in the game and acts as an independent voice in world cricket.
The next MCC World Cricket committee meeting is due to take place in Sri Lanka in March this year.
