Arjun Tendulkar earns India U19 call up

Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, has been included in India’s U19 squad ahead of its tour of Sri Lanka in July. The Indian team will play two four-day and five one-day matches, and Arjun is part of the four-day games’ squad.
The 18-year-old has previously played for Mumbai U19 side as well. He was also among the main group of U19 circkteres in the camp in Zonal Cricket Academy (ZCA).
Arjun has bowled to many international batters in the nets and had caused an injury scare for England keeper Jonny Bairstow by bowling a toe-crushing yorker last year.

The left-arm seamer will now play in the side coached by Rahul Dravid.
The four-day matches’ squad will be captained by Anuj Rawat and the one-day squad will play under the stewardship of Aryan Juyal, who was also part of the U19 World Cup-winning squad earlier this year. Juyal is the only member from that team who will be participating in the tour of Sri Lanka.
