Right-arm fast bowler Jake Ball has been called up to England’s ODI squad as a replacement for Chris Woakes ahead of a five-match series against Australia.

Woakes was ruled out of England’s one-off ODI against Scotland and the early part of the Australia series. Tom Curran will replace him against Scotland on June 10.

Ben Stokes will also miss the ODI against Scotland and also the early matches against Australia. Dawid Malan will replace the 26-year-old in England’s squad for the Scotland match. On the other hand, Sam Curran was drafted in as a replacement for Stokes ahead of England’s ODI-series against the Aussies.

Both Woakes and Stokes have started their rehabilitation programs and could be available for the later part of the home-series against Australia, which is scheduled to commence from June 13.

Eoin Morgan, who missed out on the charity match between World XI and West Indies due to a finger injury, is now fit and should be able to fly to Scotland on Saturday morning. Meanwhile, Jos Buttler has been rested for the clash.
