Four teams join the the expanded ICC ODI rankings

Three months after gaining the ODI status, Nepal has been included in the extended ICC ODI Rankings along with three other teams—Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, and Scotland. These teams will now join the 12 Test playing nations in the rankings.
Being the champions of World Cricket League Championship last year, Netherlands earned their ODI status and will now play 24 ODIs against Full Members from 2020-22 for 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup qualification. The rest of the newly added teams in the list were the best ranked associate nations in the ICC World Cup Qualifier earlier this year.
The new ODI rankings list will be effective from today (June 1). England are currently leading the ODI rankings with UAE in the last (14th) position. Nepal and the Netherlands will be eligible for full ranking after playing four matches each.
Teams earn points from each match they play against oppositions with an ODI rating. Half of the total rating points received by the teams in matches played between 1 May 2015 and 30 April 2017 will be added with full points earned by them in matches played after 1 May 2017.
