Mustafizur ruled out of T20 series against Afghanistan

Bangladesh fast-bowler Mustafizur Rahman will miss the Tigers’ upcoming T20I series against Afghanistan. A leg fracture has ruled him out of the three-match series which is scheduled to commence from June 3.
Mustafiz has recently finished his stint with Mumbai Indians, who failed to qualify for the playoffs in the IPL this season. In an unimpressive spell, the 22-year-old has taken 7 wickets in 7 matches.
The left-handed paceman suffered a toe injury while trying to stop a ball during an IPL encounter for the Mumbai-based franchise. According to sources, the injury will keep him out of action for three weeks.
A 15-man squad was announced on May 20 which had a pace-bowling unit consisting of Rubel Hossain, Abu Jayed, Abu Hider, and Mustafiz. The selectors are yet to name a replacement for Mustafizur Rahman.
The Bangladesh national team is set to fly out to India on Tuesday (May 29). All three matches will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, in Dehradun.
