RCB look to rise from the ashes against hapless Delhi

Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils will lock horns at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Saturday (May 12) to fight for their survival in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Both the teams are sitting at the bottom of the points table.
RCB have played 10 of their 14 games until now and DD have played 11 and both have managed to pick up only three wins so far in the tournament. Incidentally, both have lost their previous games to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The first leg between the two saw RCB win the contest by 6 wickets and the hapless Delhi side will surely have revenge on their mind when they take on RCB tonight.
Delhi Daredevils
Despite losing back-to-back matches to SRH, it is unlikely for DD to make any change in their starting eleven. And with three of their batsmen in a very good form they can expect a positive batting display, but the bowlers will have to mount a comeback if they want to go past the oppositions.

Predicted XI: Prithvi Shaw, Jason Roy, Shreyas Iyer (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Glenn Maxwell, Vijay Shankar, Liam Plunkett, Amit Mishra, Harshal Patel, Trent Boult, Shabaz Nadeem
Royal Challengers Bangalore
Quinton de Kock or Brendon McCullum is likely to return to the team by replacing Moeen Ali, whose inclusion was not very effective for the Bangalore-based franchise. In that case, another all-rounder, Washington Sundar is expected to enter the playing eleven in place of Manan Vohra.
RCB have a great batting line-up at their disposal and at the batting friendly pitch at Delhi might help them destroy DD’s bowling line-up that is already down after the game against SRH.
Predicted XI: Quinton de Kock/Brendon McCullum, Parthiv Patel (wk), Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, Mandeep Singh, Colin de Grandhomme, Washington Sundar, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammad Siraj.
Prediction
No team has ever managed to qualify for the playoffs by winning six matches, yet DD have a mathematical chance of entering the playoffs if they win all their remaining three matches. On the other hand, RCB have a better chance of qualifying but they will also have to win all four remaining fixtures.
Despite being the visitors, RCB – with a squad that is capable of turning things around in their favor – will be the favorites in this clash.
