Another Aussie ruled out of IPL 2018

Sunrisers Hyderabad quick Billy Stanlake has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2018 due to a finger injury. His future unavailability was confirmed by the franchise on Tuesday (April 24). The 23-year-old sustained an injury to his fifth finger on the right hand while fielding in the game against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday.
“Indian and Australian orthopedic specialists have advised that Billy Stanlake should not play the remaining part of IPL 2018,” a release by the SRH said. “Billy sustained a displaced fracture on his right hand fifth finger whilst fielding and surgical reduction and fixation was required to restore function to that finger.”
The Hyderabad-based franchise also confirmed that the Australian fast bowler has already flown back to his country for further treatment.

Stanlake has taken five scalps in the four matches that he played for the side. He made his IPL debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore last year.
After the likes of Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Mitchell Santner, Nathan Coulter-Nile, and Jason Behrendroff, Stanlake has joined the list of injured overseas players who’ll miss the tournament.
