An unfortunate side that has been falling short of expectations despite showing mental fortitude will meet a team that has slightly lost the grip on their dominance, tonight at Mumbai. The home team had lost their previous encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad by one wicket and will try not to reiterate the same mistakes which had pushed them on back foot by such a narrow margin.

Mumbai Indians

With only one win from five matches, the defending champions are still trying to come out of their shells. In T20 tournaments like this, one doesn’t get contemplate the mistakes and learn from them. You have to have a set of plans up your sleeves and go out expecting a positive outcome. If it doesn’t go your way, move on and try to execute your next plan and that’s how it goes.

Mumbai have failed to fire to their potential so far and will have to come up with their best of aptitudes to turn things around at this stage of the competition.

Predicted XI: Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan, Rohit Sharma, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Mitchell McClenaghan, Mayank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah, Mustafizur Rahman.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

After their first three matches, anyone would have kept the Hyderbad-based franchise ahead of Chennai Super Kings or Kings XI Punjab in the title race. However, they lost their next matches to these two teams which eventually edged past them in the points table.

The bowlers set the tone in their wins but a belligerent Chris Gayle initiated their miseries which was followed by Ambati Raayudu’s blitzkrieg that brought them down to earth. Rashid Khan, especially, had two matches to forget as SRH's fortress got desecrated by the opponents.

Their slow starts, in their batting, have been responsible for their misfortune and with Shikhar Dhawan’s participation still in doubt, the visiting team will have their work cut out. Tanmay Agarwal could start in place of the southpaw while Sandeep Sharma will replace Bhuvneshwar Kumar who stayed back due to an injury.

Predicted XI: Wriddhiman Saha, Tanmay Agarwal, Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Yusuf Pathan, Shakib Al Hasan, Rashid Khan, Siddarth Kaul, Billy Stanlake, Sandeep Sharma.

Prediction

Mumbai Indians are raring a hit after facing so many downs in the contest. They’ll try to exploit home advantages in the best possible way and are likely to come out victorious in this contest.
