Mahmudullah Riyad falls victim to injury

The injury list of Bangladesh national team keeps growing longer as Mahmudulla Riyad has also picked up an injury recently. After the likes of Nasir Hossain, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Mosaddek Hossain falling victim to various injuries, the side surely has dealt a major blow with a new injure player in the list.
The trait of getting injured one after one broke out like an epidemic after Tamim Iqbal got injured. Taskin Ahmed, Rubel Hossain, Mehidy Hasan Miraj have then joined the queue that has been adding to the team’s miseries.

Mahmudullah picked up the injury while fielding on the last day of the fifth round in Bangladesh Cricket League [BCL]. The all-rounder couldn’t bat for Central Zone in the 2nd innings after sustaining the injury.
“It is not a serious injury. Even no scan was required. If he take a rest for a day or two then it will be okay. If pain remains after rest, then we’ll have to go to the next step. But, for now, it’s not severe.
“The injury has been there for a few days. Mahmudullah played in BCL's last match (fifth round) despite having the pain. After assessing the injury, we’ve advised him to not play in the next game. We'll treat it (the injury) in future.”
