Liton Das set to earn a central deal

Bangladesh Cricket Board slashed the number of centrally contracted players from 16 last year to 10 this year. Although the salary was expected to be the same for a specific category, there might be some changes in grades for selected players.
Soumya Sarkar, Mosaddek Hossain, Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Imrul Kayes, Taskin Ahmed and Sabbir Rahman could not retain their central contracts as the board doesn’t seem to be pleased with their progress.
Apart from the five senior cricketers, the BCB included Taijul Islam, Mominul Haque, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain and Mehidy Hasan among the contracted cricketers for 2018.
Three rookies were expected to be included in the contracts but according to some sources, the number could go up to four as well.
Various sources have also confirmed that Liton Das could be one of those four players to be included in the coveted list. Alongside the wicketkeeper-batsman, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Ariful Haque, Nazmul Islam Apu, and Mohammad Saifuddin are also in consideration for those spots.
