Mosaddek falls victim to another injury

Mosaddek Hossain had been ruled out of the Bangladesh team for six months due to an eye injury in June last year. While the all-rounder is fighting to pave his way back to the national side, another injury has struck him on the third day of the fifth round in the BCL. The 22-year-old sustained an injured shoulder while fielding in the BCL game on Thursday.
Mosaddek has been playing for South Zone in the tournament. They are facing Central Zone in this round. The all-rounder had played an unbeaten innings of 21 runs in the 1st innings and scored 22 runs in the second innings until the stumps were drawn.

Although Mosaddek played in the BPL last year coming back from the injury, he could not make his mark in the tournament. He also failed to perform effectively in the Dhaka Premier League [DPL] albeit his team—Abahani Limited became the champions.
Mosaddek has recently been excluded from BCB’s central contract as well. He is going through a hard time altogether.
The all-rounder’s shoulder-injury has been assessed and the severity of the injury will be known as soon as the X-ray reports are out on Friday.
