Fizz's nightmare ends with a win for Mumbai


Mumbai Indians have given no chance to the opponents to edge them out this time. They outclassed Royal Challengers Bangalore in every department and registered their first victory in four matches in this tournament.
Winning the toss RCB elected to bowl first. Enjoying a great start by dismissing two batsmen in the first two deliveries, the Bangalore-based franchise were clueless of what was coming next.
Rohit Sharma, who had underperformed in the competition until this match, then came on to bat and presented a blistering knock that sent the opponents on back foot. He stitched a 106-run stand from 66 deliveries along with Evin Lewis.
Lewis was out scoring 65 runs but Rohit stayed there and did not give his wicket until single-handedly lifting the total past 200. He made 94 off 52 before returning to the pavilion in the penultimate delivery of MI’s innings. Hardik Pandya also played a 5-ball 17 runs’ cameo while remaining not out.
Umesh Yadav and Corey Anderson bagged 2 wickets each while Chris Woakes also got a wicket for the RCB.

The men led by Kohli had a fairly good than Mumbai but lost wicket in bunches alongside some miserable batting displays which cost them greatly in the contest. Only three batsmen reached the double-digits score other than the skipper himself, yet failed register any big innings.
Virat Kohli tried to salvage some pride for the side by playing an unbeaten innings of 92 runs but failed to avoid a 46-run defeat that was coming their way.
Krunal Pandya was pivotal to MI’s success as he scalped 3 crucial wickets to crush RCB’s middle-order. Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell McClenaghan also joined the hunt by taking 2 scalps each. Mayank Markande picked up a wicket as well but Mustafizur Rahman, on the other hand, had a game to forget. The fast-bowler remained wicketless while getting smashed for 55 runs.
RCB will face Delhi Daredevils in their next game on April 21. MI will take on Rajasthan Royals on April 22 after enjoying a long interval.
