Mushfiq joins Nasir Hossain in the injury-list

Mushfiqur Rahim is expected to miss the fifth round of Bangladesh Cricket League [BCL] as he picked up an ankle injury during the warm-ups ahead of day-4 of the fourth round on Friday. The wicketkeeper-batsman collided with North Zone teammate Nazmul Hasan Shanto which resulted in an ankle strain.
“He has an ankle strain. Right now, he has to take rest,” Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief physician Debashish Chowdhury told The Daily Star. “It has already been four days, we will assess the situation week by week. It may take time, but it is hard to say at the moment how long it will take.”

Debashish had previously warned the players to ease up on their football warm-up sessions after Nasir Hossain was ruled out for six months due to torn ligaments while playing football.
North Zone will face East Zone on Tuesday in the fifth round of the BCL. They are currently leading the table as they are the only teams this season to have registered a win.
